The 35th SPAR Budapest Marathon Festival is the autumn running weekend where marathon runners share space with first-timers, walkers, kids, pairs, teams, and families. Saturday has a gentler pace: it is traditionally for families, children, and runners choosing shorter distances, offering a first taste of a large race atmosphere without the full marathon pressure. A busy festival format is offered rather than a single start-and-finish event: a family run, Maratonka, mini-marathon, relay, walking, and an equality run are all included. It serves as a gentle prelude to the marathon distance for beginners, while Sunday is more for solo marathoners, pairs, and teams, allowing children to feel the event's energy without being overwhelmed by the longest race day.
