Corrida: Locals run from the city centre when they want easy base miles, then point north when they want the Mecsek to bite. ESN Pécs keeps the social side simple, with Running Club Pécs meeting at Széchenyi Square and runs varying from 4km to 10km. Malomvölgyi Lake gives runners firm forest footing and a quieter loop feel. The route covers 02 km with 473 m of climbing. July and August feel hot, but the Mecsek sends cooling air down on summer nights, so early runs and late rides still make sense. Malomvölgyi Lake and the forest tracks stay useful when the city feels heavy, and the northern slopes give shade for intervals or steady climbing. January changes the rhythm because winter is the coldest stretch, so runners lean into shorter road loops and cyclists keep the harder work closer to town. The Mecsek still works, but locals treat it with more respect when winter hits.
