Granfondo del Gallo Nero: in 2mila al via domenica 2026

The Granfondo del Gallo Nero is a cycling event held in the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany, Italy, known for its wine production and beautiful landscapes. This is the fifth edition of the race, taking place on September 24th. It is also a stage of the Prestigio di Cicloturismo circuit. Approximately 2000 participants are expected, a significant increase from the previous year. The event offers two routes: a Granfondo of 133 km with 2,675 meters of elevation gain, traversing the Florentine and Sienese areas, and a Mediofondo of 86 km with 1,579 meters of elevation gain, completing a loop within the province of Florence. Both routes feature undulating terrain with short, intense climbs. The start and finish point is Radda in Chianti. After the race, participants can enjoy a pasta party at the Gallo Nero Village, featuring local gastronomy and Chianti Classico wines. The first 1000 participants will receive a custom jersey designed by Francesco Bruni.
