Sobre esta prova
The Gunma Marathon takes place at Shoda Shoyu Stadium Gunma, featuring a full marathon, a 10 km race, and a shorter Riverside Jogging event. Held in November in Gunma Prefecture, the full marathon and 10 km courses are certified by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations. The full marathon is limited to 5,500 runners with a 6-hour time limit, the 10 km race accommodates 4,000 participants with a 1 hour 30 minute limit, and the Riverside Jogging event has a capacity of 6,000 with no set time limit.
The event caters to a wide range of participants, including club runners, casual 10 km runners, families, supporters, and approximately 2,000 volunteers. All runners receive a race T-shirt, while full marathon finishers are also awarded a towel. Finishers can access a web certificate detailing their official time and ranking. The venue offers a distinct Gunma experience with a foot bath, food and drink vendors, sponsor displays, and a prize drawing that includes hot spring stays, Jyo-shu beef, and local produce.
