Sobre esta prova
The Osaka Sports Festival Athletics Meet, held annually at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka, typically takes place in late summer. This marks the 63rd edition of a track and field competition open to everyday athletes. Any healthy individual from elementary school age through university level is welcome to participate; university students are included in the general category. The competition is limited to 900 participants, and registration closes once this number is reached.
This event is a stadium meet, not a road race, featuring individual events and relays governed by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations rules alongside the meet's specific regulations. Competitors may enter a maximum of two individual events, with relay teams competing independently. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each category. The 100m event includes heats and finals if participant numbers permit, whereas elementary school races consist of finals only. Athletes requiring assistance may run with a guide, but wheelchair participants are not permitted. The meet is organized with the support of volunteer staff and participating teams, contributing to its practical, community-driven atmosphere.
