Auckland Trail Run & Walk - Shakespear Regional Park 2026

Shakespear Regional Park offers a coastal and forest route around the peninsula, with sea air on one side and bush cover on the other. This is trail running with varied terrain: farmland, single track, open trails, seaside path, forest, a waterfall, and hills. It feels like a day out on native-forest and coastal land, not a road race with a few trees. Expect beach sections, ridgeline trails, wetland loops, and bush tracks, plus a heritage-track ridgeline and rocky headland path for longer options. The route may include a gravel-road start, bush descent, hill climb to headland, coastal beach run, headland lookout, and a grass-track finish. Families, casual walkers, and experienced trail runners are welcome. Come prepared: the event is cupless, so bring a reusable cup, hydration pack, or bottle, and clean and disinfect your shoes before entering the park.
