Sobre esta prova
Inverary Station lies west of Mount Somers Village, sheltered by the Moorhouse and Peter Ranges. This last event in the Canterbury Winter Trail Run Series offers a genuine Canterbury high-country challenge. It's rougher and more open than a park run, featuring terrain that prompts you to watch the sky before your watch.
The course traverses rocky trails, open tussock and matagouri landscapes, and creek crossings that serve as a winter reminder. The longer distances include steady climbs and exposed high-country stretches, rewarded by broad views of Mount Somers, the nearby ranges, and towards the Ashburton Lakes. Anticipate hills, mud, rocks, uneven ground, required winter equipment, and a concluding atmosphere with spot and series prizes at the Surrey Hills event village.
