Krayzie Midwinter Backyard Ultra 2026

Spencer Park serves as the central point for this event: a loop run in midwinter, employing the backyard ultra “last runner standing” format. It is a straightforward winter endurance running event, focused on testing endurance, pacing, and mental resilience rather than speed in a single run. Each hour, participants start another loop. Any remaining time within that hour is for recovery and replenishment before the next start. The event is self-supported, requiring participants to provide their own food, fluids, and a strategy to manage the cold and repetition. Younger runners participate throughout the weekend, with children’s races held at Spencer Beach Holiday Park. Older juniors use the same course as the adults, contributing to a club-like atmosphere without altering the main feature: one runner continuing after all others have stopped.
