South Auckland (Pukekohe) Junior Tough Guy and Gal Challenge

Pukekohe Showgrounds provides this junior obstacle race a proper outdoor, get-stuck-in feel, with primary and intermediate-aged kids taking on an "exciting and muddy adventure" built for them. It is the sort of event where nervous first-timers and "seasoned adventurers" can line up together, and nobody needs to be spotless at the end. The spirit is simple: kids moving, laughing, and finding out they are a bit tougher than they thought. The course features "Kid-Sized Obstacles": mud pits, climbing walls, and crawling tunnels that let children "test their abilities and build confidence" without making it feel too serious.
