Sobre esta prova
The Dycha Anny Wazówny begins next to the Palace of Anna Wazówna in Brodnica, with the event headquarters at the OSiR beach on Wczasowa Street. This late-June running event, part of the Brodnica Days festival, includes a chip-timed 10 km race, a chip-timed 3 km race, and shorter races for children. The 10 km is open to runners aged 16 and older, the 3 km to those aged 14 and older, and children up to 13 can compete in 100 m, 200 m, or 400 m distances based on their age group. Planned participation is limited to 250 runners for the 10 km and 150 for the 3 km, with finisher medals and results based on gross time.
The primary routes traverse Brodnica’s streets and bike paths, featuring a mix of asphalt and gravel surfaces. Markings will be present every kilometre, and temporary traffic closures will be in effect while runners are on the course. The 3 km race has a 30-minute time limit, and the 10 km has a 90-minute limit, making it suitable for both regular local participants and those seeking a manageable festival race. The event extends beyond the races themselves, incorporating children’s starts, a prize draw for participants, a quiz focused on Anna Wazówna, and guided tours of the Teutonic castle tower and the city. Stowarzyszenie Brodnica Biega organizes the race with local public backing. The event also aims to promote running, highlight Brodnica’s attractions, and support people with disabilities.
