Sobre esta prova
Policka Piętnastka is a running event held in June in Police, located in Poland’s West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The main event is a 15 km race, but other distances are available. Adults can compete in the 15 km or shorter 5 km races, and nordic walkers also participate. Fundacja Aktywne Police organizes the event, which also includes cross-country races for children on the meadow behind Primary School No. 8. The children’s races are divided into multiple age categories, with a participant limit of 500. Each child receives a basic package containing a medal, race number, snack, drink, and electrolyte supplement.
The adult course combines different surfaces, beginning on asphalt before transitioning to varied running terrain. The event has been held for over thirty-five editions and is recognized locally as a significant traditional race in the area. It attracts a diverse group of participants, including children, adult runners, nordic walkers, local officials, and residents of Police. The children’s races maintain a competitive focus, awarding decorations to the top three girls and boys in each age category.
