Sobre esta prova
GWiNT Ultra Cross is a trail ultramarathon weekend in Wielkopolska, western Poland, held in late April. It provides four race distances, from ultra options measured in hundreds of kilometers or miles to shorter choices for participants seeking the event without the extreme ultra commitment. The series also features Mikro GWiNT, extending the weekend's scope beyond a single demanding race.
The race is organized by three local running clubs: Grodziski Klub Biegacza, Nowotomyski Klub Biegacza, and Wolsztyński Klub Biegowy. Its origins are significant: GWiNT Ultra Cross was the first trail ultramarathon in this region of Poland, now in its tenth edition. The organizers state it is a race created by runners for runners, emphasizing running culture, tourism, and recreation. Local runners clearly appreciate it, as the event and its team have received awards from the Wielkopolska running community and from readers of Maratony Polskie, including in trail-race categories.
