Trollhättan City Trail

Trollhättan City Trail is a 10.5 km trail race in central Trollhättan, held annually in August as part of Alliansloppet Action Week. Established in 2016, it features the city's waterfall and lock area, offering a medium-difficulty course with varied terrain including natural trails, stairs, paved roads, and gravel or dirt paths. The race begins and ends at Folkets Park. It proceeds south via Hansenplatsen, following the waterfall channel on narrow trails and steep stairs before looping back at the lowest lock. Participants pass landmarks like Kopparklinten and Gamle da, navigate between old and new locks, ascend to scenic viewpoints, and run through wooded areas alongside the Gota alv. The course is marked and available for running year-round.
