Rhode Island DEM rules mandate that all participants and volunteers at the Run for the Pumpkins Trail Run wear at least 200 square inches of orange. This fall 5K and 10K trail event takes place at Bradford Preserve in Westerly, Rhode Island, with both races starting and ending at the preserve. The route starts with approximately one-third of a mile across an open grass field, allowing runners to spread out before entering the narrower trails. The course then proceeds primarily on dirt trails through Town of Westerly land and a section of Woody Hill Management Area, featuring both double-track and single-track paths. Grills Trail Run is a fall trail race at Grills Preserve in Westerly, Rhode Island, offering 10-mile and 10-km options.
