Corridas de Half Marathon perto de Sunland Park

The Flying Horse Half Marathon, 10K & 5K begins and ends at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino in Sunland Park, New Mexico. The event includes three main race distances and a Giddy Up Fun Run, with all races commencing in the morning and concluding by noon. United Way of El Paso County presents the event, sponsored by the City of Sunland Park, and Race El Paso manages the local race production. The course takes participants onto Sunland Park trails, offering expansive New Mexico vistas before returning to the racetrack and casino. The event is designed for a diverse group, including novice runners, seasoned athletes aiming for personal bests, families, and children participating in the Fun Run on the racetrack. The initial 600 registrants will receive technical shirts and race merchandise. Race El Paso's background in organizing events has helped numerous individuals complete their first race in the El Paso area.

The El Paso race weekend features a Sunday marathon ending in Downtown El Paso, followed by a half marathon and a 5K run/walk. The marathon serves as the competitive core, qualifying participants for the Boston Marathon and contributing to the Abbott age-group championship pathway. The weekend also includes a Saturday kids’ dash and virtual options for all race distances. The downtown finish echoes the conclusion of the first edition, offering runners a net downhill course that can aid them late in the race. The event attracts a diverse field, from local 5K participants to marathoners aiming for qualifying times. Past winners have advanced to compete in Boston and Abbott championship events. Participants have traveled from almost every U.S. state, along with international runners from countries like Mexico and France.
