28th Milford Cross Country Booster Reindeer Stampede 5k

The Milford Cross Country Booster Reindeer Stampede 5K takes place in late November at Killens Pond State Park, located on Killens Pond Road in Felton, Delaware. The race begins in the morning and includes a 5K run/walk alongside a distinct competitive walking division. In this division, participants must complete the entire distance by walking, without any running or jogging. This event supports the Milford High School Cross Country program, functioning as a fundraiser for the school's team with official race timing. The course is situated within Killens Pond State Park, and standard state park parking fees are in effect. R2R Timing provides chip timing using MYLAPS BibTag. Top overall and masters finishers are determined by gun time, while age group awards are based on net time. Awards are distributed broadly across five-year age brackets, from 13-and-under up to 70-and-over, in addition to overall male and female walkers. A unique award for top finishers is a custom wooden reindeer. Post-race refreshments maintain a simple holiday theme, offering long-sleeve shirts, apples, donuts, and water.
