Sobre esta prova
Agapé 100K + 50K is a trail ultramarathon held at Camp Agapé in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, offering both 50K and 100K distances. The event is structured around a six-mile loop, allowing participants to traverse the camp's trails multiple times. Runners complete five loops for the 50K or ten loops for the 100K. Both distances have a 24-hour cutoff, establishing a sustained ultrarunning pace instead of a brief sprint.
The course features a combination of singletrack and gravel paths, presenting technical terrain and challenging hills despite its location away from mountainous regions. The 50K accumulates approximately 6,000 feet of elevation gain, while the 100K reaches about 12,000 feet, aligning with the race's description of "more vert than expected." Two aid stations are positioned along the loop, and the event includes on-site camping, creating a self-contained trail running weekend at the camp.
