Athletic Brewing Company Fairfield Road Races

The Athletic Brewing Company Fairfield Road Races begin and end at Jennings Beach in Fairfield, Connecticut. The event includes a half marathon, 5K, kids' half-mile run, and a Beer Mile. The half marathon and 5K are on different days. Runners aiming for the Lucas Challenge can complete both races within 24 hours. The Beer Mile features a local element: runners complete four laps, drinking a non-alcoholic beverage at the start of each lap. The main courses are certified and include clocks at every mile. The half marathon course has 11 water stations, and the 5K course has 2. Bands and cheer groups are positioned along the half marathon and 5K routes. The event at the beach offers medical support, food, beverages, live music, vendors, awards, and a post-race gathering. This event has been held for over 40 years as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, contributing almost $5 million to local community organizations such as Ben's Lighthouse and Hole in the Wall Gang Camp.
