Sobre esta prova
The Millennium Meadows Marathon takes place in late summer at Secchia Meadows in Millennium Park, with the start and finish at 1400 Maynard SW in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Runners can choose from a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, or marathon relay. All races use a paved loop course within the park. The marathon is USATF certified and a Boston qualifier. The relay covers the 26.2 miles in approximately four-mile legs.
The course features wide paved paths through Secchia Meadows, a footbridge, sections along the Grand River, and shaded meadow areas. The full marathon consists of six loops, the half marathon is three loops with a 13.1 split mat, and the 10K is one loop. Aid stations are frequent, with two stops per loop offering water and Gatorade. Relay teams have a designated tent area, contributing to a team-camp atmosphere rather than a point-to-point race. The event benefits the Kent County Parks Department and Team World Vision - Grand Rapids. A referral program offers refunds for each new runner brought in.
