NELA LEGACY COLOR RUN 10K/5K/Fun Mile 2026

The NELA Legacy Color Run takes place on a July morning at Forsythe Park in Monroe, Louisiana. Participants can choose between a 10K, a 5K, or a 1-mile Fun Mile. All races begin at 8:00 a.m. The event accommodates runners seeking a timed distance and families preferring the shorter color-run option. Registration costs are consistent for all three events, with a reduced rate for participants aged 17 and under. Half of the race's proceeds benefit the NELA Teacher Symposium, with the remaining half supporting the Tarver Braddock Foundation. The 5K and 10K participants receive finisher medals while supplies last. Awards are presented to the overall male and female winners in the 10K, 5K, and 1-mile races. Early registrants are eligible for a race shirt; however, shirts are not distributed on race day. Following the race, participants can head to Flying Tiger, where those 21 and older can present their medal for a complimentary adult beverage.
