RiverBOO! Park 5K 2026

RiverBOO! Park 5K is a sunset 5K run/walk held in Riverview Park on Pittsburgh's Northside. The race begins and ends at the Riverview Park Activities Building on Riverview Avenue. Presented by the City of Pittsburgh Office of Special Events, this is a family-friendly event. The first 200 registrants will receive shirts, and the race has a distinct Halloween theme, incorporating a youth costume contest. The course winds through the park, passing the Allegheny Observatory on Observatory Hill, offering participants a view of one of Riverview Park's notable landmarks. A notable challenge is the finish, as the last mile is predominantly uphill. Children aged 0 to 15 are eligible for the costume contest. Community partners will provide seasonal activities. For parking, accessing the park from the Woods Run side is recommended, as Riverview Avenue might have race-day restrictions.
