Sobre esta prova
The Sloth Runners Race in San Antonio is a small group run at Lady Bird Johnson Park, offering 5K, 10K, half-marathon, and Family 1 Mile Fun Run distances. It is designed for those preferring a relaxed run or walk over a chip-timed event, with wave caps maintaining a limited field. Start waves commence in the morning, and participants may opt for Eco-Registration to forgo a shirt. All paces are welcome; individuals under 18 require a guardian.
The sloth theme is central: runners are welcomed as “sloth lovers,” and finishers receive a special Sloth Charm. While there are no timing chips, participants can self-track using apps like Strava or by consulting coordinators, then submit a time for online results and a completion certificate. Swag, shipped to U.S. addresses, typically includes a T-shirt, finisher medal, towel or giveaway, a digital training pack, and an invitation to local run clubs. If in-person waves fill, a waitlist is available, or participants can select the virtual option, which also permits result submission for a medal.
