Sobre esta prova
The Steelman Racing Open Water Classic offers swimmers a choice of 1, 2, or 3 miles in Lake Nockamixon, located within Nockamixon State Park in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. This event is part of the Steelman Racing Open Water Swim Series. Separate starts are provided for wet suit and non-wet suit swimmers, except for the 1-mile race, where all participants swim together. The water temperature is anticipated to be around 70 degrees, making the event suited for open-water racing rather than pool-style pacing or lane swimming.
The longer races, 2 and 3 miles, have distinct starts for wet suit and non-wet suit swimmers. A 3-mile relay is also available for teams of two or three, with relay swimmers having the option to wear wet suits. Awards will be presented to the top overall male and female finishers, the top male, female, and co-ed relay teams, and age-group swimmers ranging from 13 to 80. Following the races, participants can enjoy a post-race gathering with food and music.
