Sobre esta prova
The Steps ROCK 'n' ROLL STROLL is a 5K family fun walk/run starting at Windjammer Park in Oak Harbor, Washington, on Whidbey Island. It opens the Oak Harbor Music Festival weekend and raises money for Steps, a nonprofit providing in-home early support services for infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities. The event is non-competitive, allowing participants to run, walk, stroll, skip, or move at their own pace, with every finisher celebrated equally.
The paved out-and-back course follows the Oak Harbor waterfront from Windjammer Park to Catalina Park at the Marina, then returns to the start. Families bring strollers, tricycles, pets, and sea-turtle-themed participants. The rock-and-roll theme is present in costumes, face painting, photo backdrops, and kids' activities before the 5K. Pre-registered participants receive a T-shirt. Snacks and refreshments are available at the finish. The event also collects coats, hats, gloves, and boots in children's sizes 0-5 for Steps families. Steps is marking 40 years of work with families on Whidbey Island.
