Austria Triathlon, held in Podersdorf am See since 1988, is a long-running triathlon weekend near Vienna. This variety caters to children, age-group competitors, relay teams, and long-course athletes.
The race takes place in the flat, exposed landscape surrounding Lake Neusiedl, a setting that aligns with the organizer’s description: “Fast. Hard. Legendary!” The Austria Triathlon Half is a stop on the PTO World Tour. Notable competitors include Michael Weiss, a multiple-time winner, and the course records are 3:31:07 for men and 4:01:24 for women. Despite its international participation, the event maintains a local atmosphere, offering race information in German and English, shuttle details, spectator road closure notices, race videos, and the unique Höllenclub tradition.
