O tomto preteku
The CLR-Sauwald Bergsprint covers 10 kilometers from Engelhartszell to Stadl, gaining 420 meters in elevation. This uphill race takes place annually in mid-August, organized by CLR Sauwald, a club based in St. Roman with a notable presence in the Innviertel sports community. Now in its twentieth year, the event is a well-established local tradition rather than a sporadic competition.
The race welcomes participants beyond just elite cyclists. Amateur riders, including those who don't train extensively year-round, also compete. Mountain bikers navigate a more challenging course featuring natural obstacles. Handbikers join the event, starting after the mountain bikers. For the anniversary edition, a relaxed guideline reflects the event's spirit: any non-motorized vehicle is permitted. Hundreds of spectators line the course, offering support on the climb where maintaining momentum to Stadl is the primary challenge.
