The Thiersee-Lauf is an international cross-country race around Thiersee in Austria, starting at the Thiersee Strandbad lakeside bathing area. It takes place in October and serves as the final race of the Alpencup series, concluding a wider regional competition.
The programme begins with races for very young children, including a 250 m Zwergerl race for under-6 runners, followed by children’s and youth races before the older classes and main event. Junior distances progress from short laps to a 2 km lap around the lake. The field includes children, handicap categories, youth runners, adults, and older age groups such as W60 and M70+. Awards are also split, with youth classes up to U14 honored around midday and the remaining classes after the main race concludes.
