O tomto preteku
From the event hub in Patonga, the route heads directly onto the historic Great North Walk and the rugged terrain of Brisbane Water National Park. The Great North Walk Trail Running Festival offers a genuine trail running day: natural surfaces, substantial climbing, and courses utilizing a path originally opened for Australia’s Bicentennial year.
Expect "significant elevation gain," with longer options providing enough challenge to serve as official qualifiers for the Six Foot Track race. All courses begin and end at Patonga, guiding runners through areas described as "traversing some of the region’s most spectacular natural landscapes." It attracts trail runners of all abilities, yet this remains a race where managing climbs and adhering to cut-off times are important.
