On the Eyre Peninsula, the 2026 Wild Dog race focuses on the most technical yet flowing trail sections the organizers could locate. It offers an enduro-like experience, allowing participants to push hard for the entire duration or to ease off, observe the outback scenery, and recover between efforts. The long loop combines short, punchy technical climbs with steep, rocky descents lined with shrubs. It then transitions to flowing downhill single-track switchbacks and relaxed 4WD access roads. A shorter option is available for skilled juniors or adults, featuring significant climbs, long downhill runs, and occasional jumps for enjoyment. Children have their own marked course, race number plate, and numerous surprises.
