O tomto preteku
Place Roger Salengro in Quiévrechain serves as both the start and finish for La Quiévrainoise, a late-season local race day in northern France. The program includes a morning walk, a 10 km race, and a 5 km race, with the walk starting first, followed by the 10 km, and then the 5 km. It is intended for ordinary runners as well as faster club athletes; beginners can choose the 5 km or the walk, while experienced runners can compete in the 10 km.
Jogging Club Quiévrain organizes the event, which has run for over two dozen editions. The course is presented as suitable for various levels and as an opportunity to see Quiévrechain, rather than as a specialist trail or elite road race. Recent editions have used CHRONOLAP timing, and the event also provides live GPS tracking through an integrated fan zone. Runners must complete the mandatory French PPS health-prevention course before participating.
