La semaine dorée de Zatopek is a July road-race series in Pilsen, Czechia, commemorating Emil Zátopek’s Olympic sweep of the 10,000 metres, 5,000 metres, and marathon. The three main races are scheduled on the same calendar days as those wins, mirroring his famous week: a 10 km, a 5 km, and a full marathon.
Runners can enter one race or the whole series, and the marathon can be run solo or as a four-person relay. The program also includes children’s and junior races, plus side events such as half-marathon relays and a 10.5 km road run, catering to young runners, beginners, and experienced marathoners aiming for the full distance.
