O tomto preteku
The Bären Run is an obstacle and trail race held in Floh-Seligenthal, Thuringia, Germany. Participants can select from 6, 12, or 18 kilometer distances, accommodating those seeking a shorter, muddy challenge and those prepared for a longer, rugged course. The event begins in the morning and is organized by the local club, SV Floh-Seligenthal e.V.
The course combines cross-country running, trail segments, and obstacle challenges, featuring predominantly natural terrain alongside some man-made obstacles. The route crosses roots, stones, and open fields before passing through the town center, extending beyond a purely forest-based race. The obstacles are designed to be demanding and occasionally amusing, rather than strictly competitive. The format suits children, older participants, club athletes, and casual runners alike, with the race motto emphasizing perseverance: "Giving up is not an option."
