About
Crosslauf um den Mittelpunkt von Sachsen is a small cross-country and road-running event in Naundorf, Saxony, starting at Freibad Oberer Engen. The program features short distances: 5.7 km for the main run, 2.8 km for a shorter loop, and 0.8 km for children and school runners. It is connected to regional athletics competition, including Bezirksmeisterschaften. Entries are managed via the organizer’s website, with late registration available by email or on race day before the morning cutoff.
The course uses color-marked loops around the outdoor pool and the geographic center of Saxony. The 0.8 km children’s route circles the Freibad, the 2.8 km route extends to the center point, and the 5.7 km route forms a larger loop around it. TVL Freiberg e.V. hosts the event, with Leichtathletikverband Sachsen listed as organizer for the championship version. This allows club athletes, youth runners, masters, and local runners participating in the shorter public races to compete.
