The course departs Saxony, heading south towards the Alps, with support vehicles, provisions, and crew assisting riders in maintaining their schedule. Teamwork, enabling the group to manage considerable fitness disparities. Previous finishes have included Edelweissspitze, Stilfser Joch, Monte Zoncolan, Kitzbueheler Horn, Koralpe, and Mangart. The series focuses on selecting a challenging mountain objective and reaching it collectively from Dresden.
