Kallmünzer Sparkassen

The Kallmünzer Sparkassen-Triathlon takes place at Am Schmidwöhr in Kallmünz, a market town in Bavaria’s Upper Palatinate. This established local triathlon offers sprint and short-distance races. The sprint course includes a 0.6 km swim, 20 km bike ride, and 5 km run. The short distance involves a 1.5 km swim, 35 km bike ride, and 10 km run. Both solo athletes and relay teams can compete, with the individual sprint and short-distance categories anticipated to have the most participants. ATSV Kallmünz e.V. is the organizing club, sanctioned by the Bavarian Triathlon Association. The competition adheres to German Triathlon Union regulations, requiring participants to ensure their equipment is safe and compliant. The event has a long history, with the mayor of Markt Kallmünz acting as patron.
