Tölzer Triathlon

The Tölzer Triathlon, a long-standing event in Upper Bavaria, takes place near the early summer in the Bavarian pre-Alps. Organized by WSV Bad Tölz, this marks the 35th edition, with Sachsenkam serving as the host village. Previous editions were held in Sachsenkam and Bad Tölz. The event features multiple formats, including sprint-distance, short-distance, relay options, and races for younger athletes. The primary short-distance race consists of a 1.5 km swim, a 39.5 km bike course, and a 9.7 km run. The sprint and youth formats involve a 0.5 km swim, a 24.9 km bike course, and a 5 km run. The Jedermann and age-group short-distance categories attract the most participants. Additionally, the event includes a Landesliga short-distance category, relays, and Youth A and Youth B competitions. High demand often leads to sell-outs, and the organizer provides a start-place exchange for registered athletes unable to compete.
