Travesía Costa Naviega is a 20-kilometer coastal walk in Asturias, from Barayo beach to Navia along the Navia coast. Established in 1988 and held annually, it typically attracts about 2,000 participants, with some editions seeing around 4,000 registrations.
The route crosses Barayo and Frexulfe beaches, Puerto de Vega, and sections of the GR-E9 and PR-AS 293 trails. It follows the oldest coastal path in Asturias’s regional network, is marked from start to finish, and holds Regional Tourist Interest and Blue Trail status. Peña Furada mountain club organizes the event, and many walkers return annually for a day that resembles a local hiking festival as much as a race.
