Aluekisat 2026

Aluekisat, also known as the Olli Teijonmaa Memorial Games, is a two-day athletics competition in Savonlinna, Finland. It takes place at Kyrönniemi sports field, organized by the local club Savonlinnan Riento. The meet typically occurs on the first weekend of June, immediately following the end of the school year, and features a WA-class competition. The program offers a wide range of events rather than focusing on a single main race. Athletes competing in sprints, hurdles, middle-distance running, race walking, jumping, and throwing are all included. Senior men and women compete alongside age groups as young as under-9s. The hammer throw is contested in multiple categories. The second day's events include the javelin, shot put, high jump, triple jump, 1500m, 200m, hurdles, and a 5000m race walk.
