Metsä Group Seurakisat 2026

Metsä Group Seurakisat is a national series of local athletics competitions for children and young people in Finland. The events are for ages 5 to 15 and take place annually in over 500 locations nationwide, with more than 25,000 participants. Metsä Group is the title partner, collaborating with the Finnish Athletics Federation to support accessible youth sport. These are local club-style meet days, not a single course race. The focus is on providing children a safe, positive introduction to athletics and other active hobbies. Families are involved: parents can assist with official duties on competition days, making the events feel integrated with local sports clubs rather than solely for spectators. Metsä Group has supported the series since 2022, with the goal of promoting daily well-being and a healthy, active lifestyle for children and teenagers.
