Caluire Urban Trail 2027

Caluire Urban Trail transforms Caluire-et-Cuire, a commune near Lyon in the Rhône department, into an urban trail course in late February. Participants can typically select from 8 km, 16 km, or 24 km, with some sources also indicating a 32 km option. This is a city race, not a mountain trail, but the shortest route still involves a 156-meter elevation gain, distinguishing it from a simple flat road race. The course navigates the town, including historic streets, parks, and overlooks of the Lyon metropolis. The 8 km event is designed for those new to urban trail running, offering a non-timed, relaxed format. The longer races provide more challenge with increased climbing and distance for experienced runners. A Nordic walking event is also offered alongside the running races, and the event embraces its local identity with the slogan “Dur à Cuire-Caluire!”
