O tomto preteku
The Corrida de Noël de Saint-Saturnin is a mid-December road race held in Saint-Saturnin, Sarthe, France. Participants can select from two distances: 5 km and 10 km. Its Christmas timing lends it the atmosphere of a local end-of-year gathering rather than a large urban event. One euro from each registration fee is donated to the association Poetic'Alix, adding a small charitable contribution.
The competitive field has featured returning local athletes and consistent participants. Kévin André, a CERN physicist residing in Geneva, returns during his winter break and has secured victories in both the 5 km and 10 km events. In one 10 km race, he and Hermann Landemaine established an early lead, with André eventually pulling away. Estelle Loison, another former resident of the area, also returned and won her race. Timing services are provided by IPITOS, and the event includes app-based live GPS tracking and a fan zone for spectators to monitor participants.
