Foulées du Populaire
Foulées du Populaire is a city road-race weekend in Limoges, Haute-Vienne, typically held in early April. Participants can select from 5 km, 10 km, and a Limoges half marathon, with additional races for children and juniors. The 10 km event also features a two-person relay, where each runner completes 5 km. The race village is located on Place de la République, Limoges's main pedestrian square, serving as the hub for starts, finishes, vendor stands, and weekend activities. The course is a circuit through central Limoges, passing by Place de la Préfecture, the Gothic Saint-Etienne Cathedral, and the old city's paved lanes. This route offers participants a close view of a city known for porcelain, arts, and fire crafts, recognized globally as the porcelain capital and a UNESCO Creative City. The 10 km race attracts over 1,000 participants in some years, and the Foulées Roses 5 km event draws hundreds more for a charity run benefiting breast cancer research.
