Paleotrail - Saint-Césaire 2026

The Paléotrail des Charentes is a trail-running event held in December in Saint-Césaire, located in France's Charente-Maritime department. Participants can select from 25 km and 42 km trail courses. The longer race is eligible for the UTMB Index 50K category, while the 25 km race qualifies for the UTMB Index 20K category. The routes traverse natural terrain and pass by the Paléosite of Saint-Césaire, the prehistoric interpretation center that inspired the race's name. Saintes Triathlon is the organizing body. The event also features canicross, meaning some participants will run with dogs. Bib collection is available on-site, and designated parking is provided.
