Trail du loup blanc - Guéret 2026

Trail du Loup Blanc is a December trail-running weekend in the Monts de Guéret, central France. Its main race is Le Loup, a demanding 24 km route with approximately 900 m of elevation gain. The event also offers a wider range of distances, from a 120 km ultra to races for younger participants. The event is intentionally held in winter, challenging runners with cold weather, variable conditions, and a course that is modified nearly every year. The routes traverse the Monts de Guéret, the Forêt de Chabrières, Pic du Maupuy (683 m), and the Côte du Chiroux. One of the longer races, the 35 km event, begins after dark, incorporating headlamps and winter night conditions into the challenge. The weekend has reached its twentieth edition, and the finish emphasizes practicality: participants receive a hot meal upon arrival, reflecting the local hospitality of the Creuse region.
