The Trail la 14/18 is a 9.2 km night trail race held in Remiremont, a town in France’s Grand Est region. It takes place at the end of December, forming part of the Corrida des Abbesses weekend. This event runs alongside the 7.3 km Corrida des Abbesses road race and includes several shorter races for children, making it suitable for families and runners seeking a challenging post-Christmas run. Established in 1980, the race attracts participants between Christmas and New Year. Costumes, confetti, and roadside cheers contribute to the late-season atmosphere.
The route winds through Remiremont's streets, offering runners a close view of the town’s historical architecture. The course crosses the 19th-century Fort du Parmont, comes within sight of the 7th-century abbey, and passes through the quartier canonial. This area features historic houses, a palace, and Romanesque chapels. The event is designed to be accessible, with a unique piece of race folklore involving Guedotte, a goat who previously participated.
