O tomto preteku
Trail Nocturne en Savès begins in Forgues, Haute-Garonne, leading participants into the Rieumes communal forest after sunset. This late November night trail offers two distances: La Salamandre, 12 km with 350 m elevation change, and La CastérasTrail, 22 km with 550 m elevation change. The shorter race is part of the LEVY challenge, and both distances cater to runners seeking a forest night run at different effort levels.
The course runs almost entirely under tree cover, with approximately 95% within the forest. Runners might see salamanders on the paths if conditions are right. The event operates in semi-autonomy, providing water at the halfway point and a more substantial aid station near the three-quarters mark. The organizing club, VTT en Cœur de Garonne, comprises about fifty members involved in mountain biking, trail running, trekking, and strength training. The race also focuses on environmental stewardship, collaborating with the Trail Runner Foundation, employing reusable course markers, maintaining path cleanliness, and holding an eco-responsible label for three consecutive years.
