O tomto preteku
The Bronte Half Marathon is a hilly 13.1-mile trail race in West Yorkshire. It starts at Penistone Hill Country Park in Haworth at 9:00 am and runs through Bronte Country between Haworth and Hebden Bridge. The field is capped at 200 runners, with funds raised going to Sue Ryder care.
The single-lap course covers moorland, tracks, and country roads around Oxenhope, presenting a rough, long-distance trail challenge rather than a road half marathon. The organisers previously held 19 years of Bronte Mountain Bike events in this landscape before introducing the run. The finish includes pie and peas, with a memento for every participant.
