O tomto preteku
Začína to za George & Dragon Pub. Riverside Half Marathon ide popri rieke, namiesto toho, aby si sa motal v premávke. Prvýkrát sa bežalo v 2013. Stále si drží charakter lokálneho preteku: je to priame, funkčné a využíva to chodník Lune Estuary footpath. Rieka Lune ťa vedie smerom na Caton a ponúka "superb views of the Lune Valley".
Trať je hlavne po cestách a chodníkoch, väčšinou rovinatá. Začína to na chodníku popri rieke pri New Quay Road a prechádzaš aj cez "newly designed and revamped Lancaster Quay". Pobežíš s bežcami, ktorí nie sú v žiadnom klube, s klubovými bežcami a s tými, čo majú dresy Lancaster Runner’s Club. A je to aj "British Northern Veteran Half Marathon Championships". Kto dobehne, dostane medailu a tričko, proste taká jednoduchá odmena, čo sa k tomuto preteku hodí.
