Mystras Trail - Palaiologeios is a 26 km mountain race in Mystras, Laconia, beginning in the morning from Mystras Stadium. It is a demanding trail run, not a road race: runners climb approximately 1,680 metres and must navigate technical terrain, loose dirt, and stones. Participants must be at least 18 years old, with a time limit of 6 hours 30 minutes, indicating the challenge of the distance.
The route begins and ends at Mystras Stadium, with the finish line located at the Monument of Constantine Palaiologos. The race is part of the Palaiologeia events, connecting the run to the history of Mystras and its final Byzantine emperor. The Municipality of Sparta and Spartan Runners organize the event. Runners must carry their own hydration; aid stations will refill containers but do not provide bottles.
