The Nyárköszöntő Futóverseny is a forest running event held in the Zselic hills, within the Zselici Csillagpark near Kaposvár. Organized by SEFAG Zrt. and the Somogy County Forestry and Nature Conservation Association, it offers three distances: a 3.8 km encouragement run, a 10 km middle distance, and a 21 km half marathon. All races begin and end at Ropolyi pihenőhely in Zselic, accessible from road 67 via the Kardosfa Hotel turnoff for approximately 6.5 km. The 10 km and 3.8 km courses incorporate both asphalt and dirt roads, set within the Somogy forest surrounding the star park. Participants receive refreshments at four stations, a starter package, and a finisher medal, with category winners competing for prizes. This marks the event's tenth running, establishing a local tradition beyond a single forest race.
